Privacy Policy
Last updated: April 7, 2026
Verby ("we," "our," or "us") is operated by Syntrix LLC. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the Verby desktop application and the verbyai.com website.
What We Collect
Voice recordings: When you use Verby, your voice is recorded temporarily and sent to our speech recognition provider (OpenAI Whisper) for transcription. Voice recordings are processed in real time and are not stored after transcription is complete. We do not retain audio files.
Transcribed text: Your transcribed text is sent to an AI language model (OpenAI or Anthropic) for cleanup, formatting, or email generation, depending on the mode you selected. Processed text is delivered to your device and is not stored on our servers after delivery.
Account information: If you subscribe to Verby Pro, we collect your email address and payment information through Stripe, our payment processor. We do not store credit card numbers directly. Stripe's privacy policy governs how they handle payment data.
Usage analytics: We use Vercel Analytics on verbyai.com, which collects anonymous page view data. No cookies are used. No personal information is collected through analytics.
What We Do NOT Collect
- We do not collect or store your voice recordings after transcription
- We do not read, store, or analyze the content of your emails, messages, or prompts
- We do not track which applications you use Verby with
- We do not sell, share, or trade your personal information with third parties
- We do not use first-party cookies to track you across the web (see Cookies & Tracking Technologies below for details on third-party pixels we use for advertising)
- We do not collect information from your clipboard, files, or other applications
How Your Data Flows
Here is exactly what happens when you use Verby:
- You speak — your voice is captured by your microphone
- Audio is sent — to OpenAI's Whisper API over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection for transcription
- Text is processed — the transcription is sent to an AI model for cleanup or enhancement
- Result is delivered — the processed text is sent back to your device and injected at your cursor
- Nothing is stored — the audio and text are discarded after processing
All data transmission uses HTTPS encryption. Your voice and text pass through third-party AI services (OpenAI, Anthropic) for processing. These services have their own privacy policies and data retention practices. We recommend reviewing them if you have concerns about sensitive information.
